A policeman called for interpretation. He wanted to tell a foreigner who was a defaulter of the imposed fine as stated below: The foreigner's license plate has to be taken off unless paying the imposed fine which was 380,200 KRW; the foreigner asked the number of the tickets imposed.

Six tickets were issued and the additional dues were included in the said fine amount.

The policeman took him to a bank and the foreigner tried to pay/transfer the fine through ATM.

The policeman wanted him to wait for several minutes after the transfer was done as the payment

had to be confirmed by Gangbuk Police Station. The foreigner understood thereof. But the foreigner's transfer by his credit card (through ATM) failed.

 

The policeman wanted to tell the foreigner that the police had to take off (confiscated) but the permit will be issued for returning home by his car without the license plate.

The undersigned gave the policeman my cell phone number upon his request.

 

The second phone call from the police: 

A little while later than the lst call; the foreigner asked if he may pay in cash. But while the transfer of 380,000 KRW was successful, 200 KRW had failed. He wanted to settle the transfer at a bank, but the bank had closed for the weekend, Finally, he accepted my recommendation to call up his family member or his acquaintant/s for T/T(transfer) of the imposed fine. They agreed to do so and the phone talk finished. The policeman informed me at around 10:00 a.m. over the phone with thanks that the problem was settled.
